Dental Hygiene Study Club
As part of our annual program, the Providence Plantations Dental Study Club also runs
a seperate continuing education program for our Dental Hygienists. This group meets two to three times a year and follows
a curriculum similar to that scheduled for our doctors.
In order to develop a program that meets everyone's interest, we would greatly appreciate
your input. Please contact our Dental Hygiene Study Club Coordinator, Mrs. Claire Avery, RDH, to give her your thoughts and
suggestions. After all, it's YOUR study club!
Some topics may include, but are certainly not limited to:
- Etiology of Periodontal and Dental Disease
and the manner in which they are treated
- Hands-On Instructional Courses
- Clinical Applications
(e.g.
Administration of Antibiotic Therapy or Anesthesia)
- Geriatrics/Immunocompromised
Patients
- Etc.
Please let Claire know what YOU would find most interesting and beneficial. We're open
to any and all ideas!
